A New Beginning
Who Are We?
Who are we? A cult? a mystical order? or a fraternal organization? We are a fraternity dating back to 1717, the first Grand Lodge, an association of lodges, was founded in England, and Freemasonry was soon disseminated throughout the British Empire. The first American Mason lodge was established in Philadelphia in 1730, and future revolutionary leader Benjamin Franklin was a founding member.
Freemasons Without Boundaries
Masons represent all creeds and cultures, and all are welcome. You are bound to develop lasting friendships, And Unforgettable memories, You’ll enjoy the friendship of other Masons in the community, and you’ll be welcomed as a “Brother” by Masons everywhere around the world.
How We Help Our Community
Helping those in need, especially children which are the future of our society, is imperative to the mission of the Saugatuck Masonic Lodge, this is achieved by helping the Saugatuck Public Schools with grants, furthermore we partner up with other local organizations such as the Cow Hill Foundation to provide Aid and assistance to those in need around the community.
Strong In The Community
Masonry is NOT about getting benefits; Masonry is about what you can do for others. As brothers we offer each other fraternal strength and support but more specially this of ours.
Together we support each other which enhances the Creed, of morality virtue and brotherly love. Therefore our communities will be better because of our fraternity and its principles.
One of the many ways Saugatuck Masonic Lodge creates a presence in the community is by attending parades, bowling leagues, and many more aspects that Brothers enjoy.
Not Just A Friend But A Brother
Masonically speaking, “Brotherly Love” means “charity” in the truest sense of the word: benevolent goodwill toward and love of humanity without any consideration being given to those artificial distinctions that are the creation of human prejudice, weakness, and greed.
However as brothers we create long lasting friendships.
